Aaron Blaisdell, Ph.D.

Dr. Blaisdell is a professor at UCLA interested in comparative psychology and animal cognition. His research explores associative and cognitive processes in a variety of species, including rats, pigeons, and hermit crabs. A second interest is in how human ancestry and evolution can inform us about health and well being in the modern world. He is currently studying the interaction between diet on cognition. He is founding member and President of the Ancestral Health Society, Past President of the International Society for Comparative Psychology, member of the UCLA Brain Research Institute and Evolutionary Medicine program.
