Don Wilson is a general Obstetrician-Gynecologist practicing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is of First Nation ancestry, a member of the Heiltsuk Nation in British Columbia. His interest in Ancestral Health stems from the health problems encountered by Indigenous people since they have transitioned to a modern, agriculture-based diet. Areas of particular interest include obesity and diabetes in pregnancy, as well as gynecologic implications of obesity, and use of low-carbohydrate and ketogenic diets as therapy.
